Theresa founded Wilhelm Family Law in 2015 after she and her husband relocated to Lucan, Ontario to raise their small children closer to family. Theresa grew up in a small close-knit community in Southwestern Ontario where family, friends and community were an important and integral part of her life.
Theresa has 18 years of experience in family law and estate law. She began her practice in the Region of Waterloo. Theresa prides herself in being responsive, strategic and genuine. With over 16 years of experience, she works to help each client reach a positive resolution. Theresa has practiced Collaborative Family since 2010 and sees the value that collaborative law’s wraparound services bring to support families in difficult transitions.
Theresa loves to spend her spare time reading and attending the theater in between keeping up with her young children.
kathryn gilbert, barrister & solicitor
Kathryn joined Wilhelm Family law in January of 2020 after attending Western Law School with a focus on Family and Estate Law. Kathryn enjoys assisting our clients with each unique situation and brings a compassionate, problem-solving mindset to every client’s file.
Kathryn articled at Wilhelm Family Law before joining the firm as an associate lawyer in January 2021. Kathryn lives in London with her husband and two young children. She lives with several mischievous pets and is an avid gardener.
lindsay neale, Law clerk
Lindsay joined Wilhelm Family Law in October 2021 as a Family, Wills and Estate Law Clerk. She has over ten years of experience working in Family Law and is a graduate of the Law Clerk program at Fanshawe College. Lindsay enjoys assisting our clients through their family law or wills and estates matter. Lindsay excels at clear, concise communication to our clients and is always happy to answer questions.
She loves spending time outdoors at the beach and camping.
